Stories to share - now and later
By the way, you can call me—I’ll pick up if I’m able.
A bit about me: I’ve worked as Director of Photography on Stanford’s historic Silicon Genesis series, interviewing Silicon Valley pioneers in their homes. I also filmed Capt. Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger—the pilot who safely landed US Airways Flight 1549 on the Hudson River.
Those projects taught me to catch not just the story, but the essence. It’s genuinely fun to meet people who hold family history and genealogy. These films share that past—and the personalities that shaped us—with the ones coming next.

Personal Video Biographies
Your Story Captured For Generations
The process is simple.
We’ll prepare you, guide you through the process, set a date, and conduct a well-organized recording session. Your story will be beautifully filmed, carefully crafted, and delivered in a form your loved ones can keep forever. You prepare, we show up — we handle the rest.
A Message That Transcends Time
Preserve the People and Histories That Shaped You — Then Tell the World About You
Genealogy isn’t just a chart of names and dates — it’s the living story of how you became who you are. You are the bridge between generations past and those yet to come. Every elder you knew connects you directly to earlier eras — sometimes to events and ways of life over a century ago.
Preserve the voices, faces, and gestures of those who shaped you: the grandfather who told war stories, the grandmother whose kitchen smelled like home, the neighbor who remembered the first cars on dirt streets. Paint vivid portraits of survival, love, family dynamics, personalities, and places — whether it’s the move to a new continent, the rhythm of the family farm, or the colorful characters whose DNA flows through your veins.
And then, turn the lens to yourself.
Be candid. Make us laugh. Share the wisdom you’ve gathered, the choices that defined you, and the moments that made you proud (and the ones that taught you humility). Tell us what you’ve learned about love, about work, about family — and about yourself. Because one day, you will be their elder, and the story will not be complete without you.
Afterglow Messages
This is your day to say anything you want — And no one gets to tell you otherwise.
Think of it as the ultimate creative project — except the showtime is far, far away (hopefully). An Afterglow Message can be anything you dream up. Big, small, funny, serious, poetic, musical, completely outrageous — it’s your stage. You get to decide what’s said, shown, and shared… and how.
Videos can be stored and delivered in many ways:
On their own storage device for one special person
Grouped into “chapters” on a single drive
Released one at a time or all together
Played privately or in front of a room full of people
There’s no limit — you can record as many videos as you like, and we can keep them beautifully organized so each one lands exactly where you want it.
Sample Ideas
Time Capsule Wish — To be seen years from now
Setting the Record Straight — Gently… or not
For the Generations — A message to the youngsters
Playful Call Outs — “And Jim—every time you slice a ball into the trees, I’ll be watching… and laughing.”
For the Memorial — Words of comfort and connection.. or humor
Private Moments — For one person or a few
Music or Art — Performances, songs, creations
Because it’s about you — “a tour of my garden”
Bringing Peace — Stories and reassurances
This is your last word — heartfelt, hilarious, clarifying, comforting, or all of the above. You decide the tone, timing, and audience. Every time someone watches, they’ll see you — your timing, your way of telling it.
